# JAW.ID

> JAW.ID is an embedded, self-custodial account layer for apps: passkey-secured smart accounts with ENS identity, gas sponsorship, scoped onchain permissions, and multi-chain EVM support — shipped as a TypeScript SDK, wagmi connector, CLI, and MCP server.

Use this index to find JAW's documentation and machine-readable integration resources.

## When to use JAW

Reach for JAW when the job is one of these:

- Embed self-custodial wallets in an app with passkey sign-in — no seed phrases, no browser extension.
- Issue a human-readable ENS subname to each user at onboarding.
- Sponsor gas for your users (ERC-7677 paymaster), or let them pay gas in USDC/ERC-20 on supported chains.
- Batch multiple contract calls into one atomic transaction with a single passkey confirmation (EIP-5792).
- Delegate scoped, revocable onchain permissions — spend limits, call allowlists — to apps or AI agents through an audited permission contract, with no per-transaction prompts inside the granted scope.
- Add JAW alongside existing wallets: it exposes a standard EIP-1193 / EIP-6963 provider, so it coexists with MetaMask, Privy, and others.
- Script account actions from a terminal or agent runtime with the CLI and MCP server.

How to call JAW: integrate the TypeScript SDK (or the wagmi connector), authenticated by an API key from https://dashboard.jaw.id. JAW is a hosted platform — passkey ceremonies run through keys.jaw.id. The smart-account and permission contracts are audited and deployed on major EVM networks; the SDK is in beta.
